21st December 2023

Happy Yule one and all.

This is the time of year where we observe the astronomical event of the shortest day and the longest night, and is widely recognised as a time of rebirth. In honour of this winter festival, which begins just ahead of this year’s hibernal solstice, I am delighted to announce the release of my two solo albums ‘Music For Trains’ and ‘The Kabuki Drop’, across all major streaming platforms.

This marks the first time that the albums have been available in this format and they are accompanied by four, single-song releases, including two edited versions of their album counterparts. These ‘singles’ were created with care to navigate the nuances of Content ID platforms without compromising the artistic integrity of the albums, yet offer the opportunity for certain songs to reach a wider audience. For anyone interested in purchasing the albums, the Apple Music and Bandcamp versions also come with the addition of newly designed digital booklets.

I hope that the albums resonate with others, as they are released into the vast expanse of the digital world.  So bring in a Yule log, let the warmth of candles fill the room and let the music accompany you through the long night. The albums were made with love, and perhaps a few biscuits.

This is a very difficult time for everyone, not just those in the creative arts.  Please take the time to look out for one another whilst staying safe and healthy yourselves.  I look forward to seeing you all over the summer months when social distancing becomes a thing of the past.

Best wishes

New Year, New Website

Recently I've had a number of people asking me what I'm up to, when I'll be playing live and where they can hear my music.  It's lovely to know that I'm thought about, so I have decided to make life a little easier for everyone (and for myself) by making this site live and sharing all that I have going on.  It's a work in progress, so please check in often to see how things evolve.

Alongside the site, I also have a new YouTube channel, which you can find linked here. Although currently light in content, there is a little video of me performing recently as part The Lounge Sessions, where I played a track from my Music For Trains album.  The album turns five this year and, as it has been out of print for some time, the artwork has been redesigned and there will be a re-release later this year.  To celebrate the occasion, pre-orders will ship with an accompanying piano, vocal & guitar score of the track The In/Out, a preview of which is shown here.  Details of the release will be coming soon.  I'm planning on performing a number of intimate solo shows over the coming year,  as well as the Big Fake Festival shows where I'll be appearing with the Chili's over the summer, you can find all the dates here

I'd like to wish everyone a Happy New Year, I look forward to writing here often.
